Micro-Analysis on TAKEN.

Cinematography - The camera work and shots of the opening sequence are very much mid to close up shots of the characters and their facial expressions to establish their personality. The movement of the camera is very much jumpy from one scene or setting to the next from the previous to the 'now'. Sound - Sound is music, over the top of flash backs. Mise-en-scene - what you can see one the screen is distablishing characters, so the main character, the daughter, mum and step dad as well as etablishing there relashionships. Editing - The editing of the scene is the ross cutting of a home video made for the film and what is happening in the everyday life. The macro analysis all fit in with the genre of film due to the story being about someone being taken, there is a home video of the innocent little girl creating the tense atmosphere. The location is very much alive as it is set in the busy city of New York and then France both at night life. And finally the characters are very much related to the plot, they fit in very well and create the story from the inside out.
